Alphabet Group Project Directions and Grading
ALPHABET GROUP PROJECT
STATEMENT OF LEARNING: We've been learning about the way common lines and
shapes affect photographs. Now, you get to harness lines and use your
attentiveness and creativity to find the alphabet in everyday items!
YOUR MISSION: As a group, you are to find a way to creatively express each
letter of the alphabet. You will have 26 photos one for each letter of the
alphabet. You will display your final product using Windows Movie Maker
(your choice).
JOB TITLES:
Photographer: Responsible for maintaining the camera, making sure it is
adequately charged, and also ensuring all photos are loaded at the end of
the photo shoot and removed from the existing memory card
Editor: Responsible for the quality of the project. The editor must break
ties in creative disagreements. Additionally, the editor is responsible for
maintaining a high standard of quality. The editor is not the only one to
edit photos, but is the final decision maker on which versions appear in the
final product.
Organizer: The role of the organizer is to keep the project moving forward.
The organizer keeps a record of what photos have been taken and what photos
need to be taken. They are responsible for updating the list based upon
decisions by the editor. The organizer works with the photographer to make
sure that all photos are well organized in a single folder. Additionally,
the organizer is responsible for making sure that all items are backed up in
a separate location.
Project Manager: This is the servant leader. The project manager is
responsible for the overall synergy of the group. The project manager is a
motivator that leads by example. The project manager is held accountable
for tasks not being performed or completed. Additionally, if group members
are not functioning on tasks, the project manager works to resolve the issue
prior to bringing it to the instructor's attention. The project manager
constantly seeks out ways to make sure everyone is included in the group.
