Week Three beginning Aug. 18th -- Photography

Goals for the week:
  • Set up student accounts with appropriate folders
  • Gain familiarity with Picasa
  • Understand how Picasa and Gmail are connected
  • Define panning, and apply it to a photograph
  • Define the rule of thirds, identify whether a folder meets or doesn't meet the rule
  • Apply the rule of thirds
  • Appreciate and apply negative space at appropriate times
  • Understand the importance of using good photo composition techniques such as filling the frame and leveling
